TEV Protease

TEV Protease is a new type of protease product developed by our company. This product can specifically recognize the heptapeptide sequence GLU-ASN-LEU-tyr-Ph-GLN-Gly /Ser and perform enzymatic digestion between the amino acid residues of Gln and Gly/Ser. Glutathione Stransferase(GST), MBP (Maltose-Binding Protein), His or other tags are often used to remove fusion proteins. Its sequence specificity is much higher than that of proteases such as thrombin, factor Xa and enterokinase. TEV Protease has a certain tolerance to imidazole and still has high activity in 400 mM imidazole. The molecular weight of TEV Protease is 27 kDa and it comes with a His tag. After enzymatic digestion, it can be removed by binding to a nickel column.
