T4 gene 32 Protein (T4 gene 32 Protein or gp32 Protein) is a single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) binding protein that is essential for the replication and repair of T4 phage DNA. It harmoniously binds and stabilizes the instantaneously formed ssDNA region, playing an important structural role in the DNA replication process of T4 bacteriophages. This protein is also widely used to stabilize and label the ssDNA region, so that the structure of DNA within cells can be observed under an electron microscope. Studies have shown that it can also improve the yield and efficiency of reverse transcription in RT-PCR reactions, and increase the yield of PCR products under certain PCR reaction conditions.
