The Plasmid Mini Kit for plasmid extraction uses the alkaline lysis method to lyse cells. It utilizes a unique silica gel membrane adsorption column to specifically adsorb plasmid DNA under high-salt and low-pH conditions, removing proteins, RNA, genomes, and other impurities to obtain high-quality and high-purity plasmid DNA. Each adsorption column can adsorb up to 30 µg of plasmid DNA and is suitable for the efficient extraction of plasmid DNA from 1 to 5 mL of overnight cultured Escherichia coli.
