LAMP (Loop-mediated isothermal amplification) loop-mediated isothermal amplification reaction is a nucleic acid amplification technology. This kit employs LAMP technology, using Bst2.0 DNA Polymerase and specific primers to identify six independent regions of the target sequence, and generates double-stranded DNA through isothermal amplification. During the amplification reaction, pyrophosphate ions are produced, and the pH value will decrease after the reaction. Therefore, the result can be interpreted by the color change of the pH indicator.

This kit uses a mixed reagent of cresol red and phenol red as the pH indicator. It is purplish red before the reaction, turns yellow after the positive reaction, and the negative well remains purplish red. Bst2.0 DNA Polymerase is derived from Bacillus stearothermophilus DNA Polymerase I. It has 5 '→3' DNA polymerase activity and strong strand displacement ability, but no 5 '→3' exonuctase activity. Compared with wild-type Bst DNA polymerase and large fragments, this enzyme can effectively increase amplification speed, yield, etc.

Bst 2.0HS is a hot-start isothermal polymerase obtained by using reversible modification technology based on Bst 2.0 DNA polymerase. It can completely block the enzyme's activity at room temperature, establish reactions at room temperature, prevent non-specific amplification, and improve reaction efficiency. In addition, Bst 2.0HS DNA polymerase does not require a separate activation step.
