PVDF membrane, namely polyvinylidene fluoride membrane, is a solid-phase support widely used in Western blotting. This membrane is hydrophobic, and its pore sizes vary. As the pore sizes gradually decrease, its binding ability to low-molecular-weight proteins becomes increasingly firm. The pore size of this PVDF membrane is 0.22 µm, making it suitable for most Western blotting. It is particularly suitable for proteins with a molecular weight less than 20 kDa and can effectively reduce the leakage of small-molecular-weight proteins. This product has a higher protein adsorption rate and protein sequencing yield than 0.45 µm PVDF membranes. PVDF membranes need to be pre-treated before use, usually soaked in methanol. The purpose of this is to activate the positively charged groups on the membrane surface, thereby enhancing its affinity for negatively charged proteins. PVDF membranes have high mechanical strength and are ideal solid-phase support materials in Western blotting. They are most commonly used for the transfer of proteins from gel to membrane during Western blot. It can also be used for adsorption analysis, amino acid analysis, N-terminal protein sequencing, dot and slot blot detection, glycoprotein coloration and lipopolysaccharide analysis, etc.

1. High protein binding capacity: Protein binding capacity > 200 μg/cm².
2. Relatively high fluorescence background: It has a relatively high fluorescence background signal.

1. It is applicable to the transfer and detection of proteins < 20 kDa in Western Blot experiments.
2. It is applicable to chemiluminescence and color detection systems.
3. It has excellent mechanical strength and is highly suitable for antibody Stripping (Stripping) and Reprobing experiments.
